About The Position

We are seeking a Product Control Manager position. This person will build, enhance, and maintain manufacturing process instructions, changes, and releases in factory MES. Manages the team responsible for tracking product and process changes, process analytics, process work instructions, and production order releasing.

Requirements

Change Control - MFG: Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Manufacturing Processes: Knowledge of existing product manufacturing methods, technologies and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process.
Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with manufacturing and product engineers to provide timely release and implementation of new engines, major product updates and miscellaneous changes.
Establishing priorities and coordinating efforts of the change control team responsible for processing product changes, establishing manufacturing effective dates, creating process instructions, and alignment of production order releasing activities.
Manage team of 3-5 employees in the US and India.
Manage deliverables and budget of offsite contract resources.
Providing specialized expertise and consultation to several product change control groups regarding release practices.
Ensuring adherence to Caterpillar and Industry standards and processes including ODS/CDSA cycle time calculations, Engineering Change Management, New Product Introduction,
Assisting in Virtual Build and Model Review processes.
Interfacing with other facility and legacy ERP/MES systems (CAPP+, SAP, etc.) in addition to our own (PLEX, MAMM, EOMP).
