Manager Practice Innovation & Education Health Services – Seniors Services Status: 1 Regular Full Time Hiring Range: $151,183.00 – $170,081.00 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits, where applicable) Work Mode: Hybrid see below for more details about this work mode. Location: 10 Peel Centre Dr., Brampton, ON Hours of Work: 35 hours per week. Seniors Services is committed to supporting older adults through high-quality, resident-centered care and services. Working alongside our Long-Term Care Centres, Adult Day Services, and community partners, we strive to create environments where people can thrive with dignity, respect, and compassion. As part of the Seniors Services Leadership Team, the Practice Innovation & Education division plays a critical role in driving quality improvement, professional practice, accreditation, innovation, and strategic initiatives that support excellence in care and service delivery across the division. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of five direct reports, providing strategic direction, coaching, and support to advance divisional priorities.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with B.ScN, and current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
  • Minimum four years recent experience in LTC or Seniors Services setting.
  • Member of Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO) and other organizations relevant to the role.
  • Minimum of five years of related management/leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Long Term Care experience and/or Seniors Services experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the health care system, and the Fixing Long Term Care Act 2021 and Ontario Regulations 246/22, guidelines and requirements for long term care industry.
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check obtained directly from a police service (third-party background checks will not be accepted) and Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test Clearance are required as a condition of employment.
  • Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute strategic priorities and lead organizational change.
  • Expertise in quality improvement, performance measurement, risk management, and accreditation processes.
  • Experience leading large-scale projects and initiatives with organizational impact.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with diverse internal and external partners.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience managing budgets, contracts, and operational resources.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with information technology systems and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent project management training.
  • Experience leading Accreditation Canada reviews or similar accreditation programs.
  • Experience developing business cases, funding proposals, and ministry submissions.
  • Experience in strategic planning, clinical practice leadership, or healthcare transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of divisional strategies, priorities, and transformative initiatives that enhance service quality, operational effectiveness, and resident outcomes.
  • Champion continuous quality improvement, risk management, performance measurement, and accreditation activities that support a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership to support evidence-based nursing and interdisciplinary practices, ensuring alignment with professional standards, legislation, and best practice guidelines.
  • Oversee complex, multi-phased projects and strategic initiatives from concept through implementation, including business case development, funding proposals, and operational integration.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentorship, performance management, succession planning, and employee development. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal service partners, healthcare organizations, regulatory bodies, and external partners to advance divisional priorities and service excellence.
  • Provide oversight for policy development, document management, contracts, information management systems, performance reporting, and strategic planning processes that support effective operations across Seniors Services.
  • Lead initiatives that leverage data, feedback, and evidence-informed practices to continuously improve the quality of care and services provided across Seniors Services programs.
