  • Working understanding of credit portfolio performance, including originations, delinquency, losses, and profitability.
  • Deep experience in either portfolio performance or fraud, ideally including fraud rule tuning and bust-out detection, and enough working knowledge of the other area to learn quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of turning findings into clear business recommendations.
  • Comfort using business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau and Excel.
  • Actively uses AI tools to speed up analysis, investigate performance drivers, and improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Able to present complex findings clearly to senior leadership and external partners.
  • Entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and comfortable building processes in a growing business.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance across the account lifecycle, from originations through portfolio performance and economics.
  • Evaluate actual results against forecasts and expectations, explain results outside tolerance, identify emerging trends, and recommend actions to improve business outcomes.
  • Lead monthly performance reviews and help establish an ongoing program-monitoring approach.
  • Monitor automated origination fraud and verification rules; trace confirmed fraud, bust-outs, and early-loss accounts to application characteristics; identify screening gaps; and recommend and test rule adjustments.
  • Monitor transaction activity for suspicious behavior, bust-out patterns, and emerging fraud trends; investigate alerts, distinguish fraudulent activity from false positives, recommend rule adjustments, and coordinate responses to fraud events.
  • Balance fraud prevention with approval rates and customer experience.
  • Translate portfolio performance into insights for internal leadership, the sponsor bank, and lending partners.
  • Lead partner performance reviews alongside the General Manager and serve as a primary contact for partner reporting, due diligence, and data requests.
  • Develop analytical insights and proof points to support expansion of Splitit’s white-label card and lending solutions to banks and credit unions.
