About The Position

This role supports the growth of TDIP’s platform and ecosystem presence, sitting at the intersection of business development, marketing, partnerships, and community. The goal is to position TDIP as a trusted partner to founders and a key player in the Canadian tech landscape.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in startups, venture capital, tech ecosystem building, consulting, marketing, partnerships, or a related field.
  • Understanding of the Canadian tech and venture ecosystem.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building new processes from scratch.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with founders or early-stage companies.
  • Event planning or community-building experience.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce) and pipeline tracking.
  • Experience creating marketing or sales collateral.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with key players across the Canadian tech ecosystem, including founders, venture capital firms, accelerators, and community organizations.
  • Identify and execute partnership opportunities that drive visibility, deal flow, and strategic alignment for TDIP.
  • Represent TDIP at events, conferences, and ecosystem touchpoints across Canada.
  • Own end-to-end execution of TDIP-hosted and partner events (e.g. founder dinners, ecosystem activations, large-scale awards).
  • Design experiences that foster meaningful connections and reflect TDIP’s brand.
  • Manage logistics, vendors, budgets, and run-of-show planning for events.
  • Work with internal TD stakeholders on initiatives such as marketing, communications, and product.
  • Prepare materials and insights for senior leadership, including presentations to executives.
  • Act as a connector across internal TD teams to align on ecosystem opportunities and priorities.
  • Support startup banking growth by sourcing, tracking, and nurturing founder relationships.
  • Build and maintain BD infrastructure (CRM, tracking systems, reporting) to manage inbound and outbound opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal banking teams to convert ecosystem relationships into clients.
  • Develop and execute initiatives that strengthen TDIP’s brand within the innovation ecosystem.
  • Create marketing collateral including pitch decks, one-pagers, and ecosystem materials.
  • Contribute to social and content strategy to elevate TDIP’s voice and visibility.
  • Develop an understanding of the unique banking and financial needs of early-stage technology companies.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing relationship management for startup clients, ensuring a high-touch and founder-friendly experience.
  • Partner with internal banking teams to support founders across core products including operating accounts, cash management, credit solutions, and venture debt.
