About The Position

Advanced Drainage Systems is seeking a Plant Services Group (PSG) Manager to lead a traveling technical team supporting the construction of manufacturing facilities, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and corrugated pipe processing across the US and Canada. The role supports capital projects and manufacturing sites, including sourcing and installing critical plant support equipment, executing equipment rebuilds, and helping plants return to production during emergencies. The manager also leads continuous improvement efforts and defines and executes plant support projects to meet internal customer needs.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in Maintenance or Engineering in an industrial environment.
• Experience designing industrial equipment layouts, including plumbing and material handling systems.
• Experience leading a technical team of five or more members.
• Operational knowledge of industrial equipment and maintenance.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and systematic problem solving.
• Vendor relations and negotiation experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• System-level equipment and facility troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work safely in and around plant equipment and construction sites.
• Ability to stand for long hours on the production floor and work within plant climate conditions.
• Ability to travel over 50%; valid US passport required.

Nice To Haves

• A 2-year Associate's Degree in an applicable field is preferred.
• Training in lean manufacturing and systematic problem solving is a plus.
• Plastic processing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and develop engineers and technicians for capital projects and manufacturing sites.
• Coordinate and schedule team members for equipment and facility projects and continuous improvement efforts.
• Lead sourcing and installation of critical plant support equipment, such as chillers, compressors, and vacuum pumps.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Continuous Improvement Kaizen events.
• Provide emergency troubleshooting to expedite plant production return.
• Work with plant teams to plan and execute field rebuilds of worn equipment.
• Define and execute plant support projects to meet internal customer satisfaction.
