About The Position

This position is responsible for all functional areas of a Pork processing plant including the efficient operation of three production shifts, maintenance, personnel, safety, shipping, receiving, sanitation, scheduling, quality and process improvement. Other responsibilities include: motivating managers to provide guidance and programs to enhance the skill level of their employees; resolving issues related to the quality of incoming and outgoing goods; reviewing cost and performance data to help determine areas that need improvement. facilitating the Talent Mapping and Succession Planning Programs and supporting the Retention Program. food safety, food quality and legality. Other duties include initiating discussion and implementation of improvement in all phases of production; assisting in identifying, evaluating and correcting problems and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Progressive 8 plus years’ experience
  • General knowledge of computer programs used in the operation of the production plant like Microsoft office applications, Word, Excel, Power Point, outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Resume required for consideration
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

  • Applicable Experience in Food Processing Industry Preferred
  • Prefer working knowledge of SAP systems
