About The Position

Blood Cancer United is a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization, relentlessly pursuing cancer cures. To help achieve this mission, the Manager Planned Giving serves as an internal strategy partner to the Planned Giving team and supports the development and execution of marketing and stewardship initiatives in partnership with the Directors of Planned Giving. This role supports increased donor engagement and revenue through a donor-centric approach and collaborates across operations, marketing, communications, legal, and finance to advance internal fundraising, revenue development, and stewardship efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in program or project management, preferably within philanthropy, planned giving, donor engagement or a related non for profit environment
  • Experience in complex project management and cross-functional communications.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite and database management skills; Salesforce knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a manager supporting the Planned Giving team in increasing deferred gift commitments and revenue to Blood Cancer United across donor segments.
  • Serve as the internal point of contact for the Legacy Circle, supporting comprehensive and efficient operations of Legacy Circle marketing and stewardship programs.
  • Collaborate with the Constituent Experience, Donor Engagement, and Mission teams to communicate Blood Cancer United's mission, programs, resources, and priorities.
  • Work closely with the Vice President, Philanthropy - Planned Giving to create and develop internal processes and systems that elevate the success of the Philanthropy team.
  • Develop communication plans, process improvements, and project management systems to ensure Planned Giving stewardship initiatives are delivered in a timely and effective manner.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external marketing and creative vendors.
  • In partnership with the Vice President, Philanthropy - Planned Giving, identify and implement strategic priorities for the Philanthropy team and Planned Giving program.
  • Foster strong relationships with Philanthropy partners, regional partners, and other internal stakeholders to support successful implementation of projects and initiatives.
  • Support the Planned Giving team with CRM data management, portfolio management, and other program implementation to help ensure consistent and accurate data and donor experiences.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of Blood Cancer United's mission and programs to support organizational initiatives.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
