This role will manage and lead Pilot Hall engineers for both vehicle and battery pre-series builds, ensuring resource allocation and alignment with project goals. The position provides direction for engineers in vehicle assembly and battery integration, offering technical training and support. It fosters innovation and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence. The role oversees the entire pre-series build process, ensuring adherence to timelines and specifications, and collaborates with other engineering teams to validate manufacturing processes and identify issues. The Manager ensures buildability requirements are met, develops quality control measures for vehicle fit/finish and battery performance, and leads continuous improvement efforts for repeatability and reliability. Data analysis from builds is used for corrective actions. The role works closely with design, engineering, supply chain, and battery technology teams, and coordinates with suppliers to ensure parts meet specifications. Collaboration between vehicle assembly and battery integration teams is facilitated, and detailed documentation of build processes, issues, and resolutions is maintained for lessons learned. Progress reports on vehicle and battery builds are prepared and presented.
