About The Position

The Physical Security Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and executing Lennox’s enterprise asset security strategy to protect company facilities, physical assets, and personnel. This role provides strategic direction and operational oversight of security programs, ensuring alignment with corporate risk management objectives, regulatory requirements, and business continuity priorities. Working closely with Operations, Real Estate, Facilities, EHS, HR, IT, and external security partners, the Physical Security Manager translates risk assessments into practical, scalable physical security solutions that support business operations while maintaining compliance, consistency, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate or industrial physical security, with hands-on responsibility for access control, surveillance, and facility security systems.
  • Proven experience managing security programs across complex or multi-site environments (manufacturing, distribution, corporate offices preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems, risk assessment methodologies, and security risks across corporate, manufacturing, distribution and retail environments.
  • Experience leading teams and managing external vendors.
  • Ability to lead during crisis situations and respond outside of standard business hours as needed.

  • Professional security certification (CPP, PSP, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive physical security strategy aligned with enterprise risk management and business objectives.
  • Establish design standards and technical specifications for access control systems, CCTV/video management systems, intrusion detection, and perimeter barriers.
  • Conduct site-level and enterprise-wide security risk and vulnerability assessments, identifying gaps and mitigation priorities.
  • Create multi-year security improvement roadmaps, including technology refresh cycles and capital planning.
  • Lead response efforts for security incidents, emergencies, and crisis situations.
  • Direct investigations into security breaches, workplace incidents, and policy violations.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and monitored for effectiveness.
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure program effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Own and manage corporate badge access control programs, including credentialing standards, role-based access, and site zoning.
  • Lead the deployment and optimization of camera systems and video management platforms across all facilities. Define camera placement standards, retention requirements, monitoring procedures, and investigative use protocols.
  • Design and implement perimeter security measures including fencing, gates, bollards, vehicle barriers, lighting, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Manage third-party security guard services, including site coverage models, post orders, training requirements, and performance standards.
  • Champion a secure and safety-focused workplace culture.
  • Oversee development and execution of emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • Lead cross-functional crisis management efforts.
  • Conduct training programs, tabletop exercises, and facility drills to ensure organizational readiness.
  • Partner with peer functions to integrate security and safety initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain physical security policies, standards, and procedures applicable across all locations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local/state security requirements.
  • Oversee security audits, compliance reviews, and gap assessments.
  • Establish processes to implement corrective action plans to address compliance risks.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting to support regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Develop and manage the annual security budget.
  • Evaluate capital investments in security technologies and infrastructure.
  • Optimize resource allocation to ensure cost-effective risk mitigation.
