About The Position

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising clinical pharmacy services throughout the organization. Participates in other department management functions and may provide staff coverage as needed. May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Current valid license as a Registered Pharmacist issued by the State of California.
Bachelor's degree.
Three years of experience in clinical pharmacy practice in an acute care hospital.
Organizational skills and personal leadership characteristics to effectively integrate the efforts of pharmacy staff, other hospital associates, and medical staff in support of established goals.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use standard word processing, spreadsheets, and other medical informatics tools.
Ability to meet the position's Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications as given in the new-hire physical.

Nice To Haves

Pharm.D. degree.
Residency.
Experience or knowledge related to medication safety, medication error event review, policy and procedure review and development, and IV pump library review.
Knowledge of regulations, including those of the Board of Pharmacy, CDPH, USP 797, USP 800, USP 795, and The Joint Commission.
