About The Position

The Pharmacy Informaticist will support Devoted Medical in the ongoing development of Orinoco as an Electronic Health Record (EHR). This role will be crucial in ensuring the seamless integration of pharmacy-related data and functionalities, maintaining and optimizing e-prescribing, and enhancing patient safety within clinical workflows. A dedicated Pharmacy Informaticist will provide the necessary expertise to bridge the gap between clinical practice, engineering, and integrations; ensuring that Orinoco effectively supports medication documentation, prescribing, and monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience in the US healthcare IT industry, with a deep understanding of healthcare information systems, and electronic health records (EHRs). Understands applicable laws and regulations, and ability to ensure organizational compliance.
• Prior experience utilizing Medi-Span or Surescripts products, NCPDP standards, and pharmacy claims transmission is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of clinical vocabularies including RxNorm, SNOMED CT, and NDC.
• Proficiency with e-prescribing standards and technologies, specifically HL7 and XML.
• Positive interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated team player with strong organizational and analytical skills, Able to work both independently and in a team setting.
• State licensure in good standing is required at time of application in any of the states where Devoted practices.

Nice To Haves

• Pharm D, with four years of clinical experience and two years in dedicated informatics (ambulatory setting ideal)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for all medication-related aspects of the EHR build across clinical workflow design, regulatory compliant, and establishing/driving adoption of best practices across the organization
• Be critical in maintaining Devoted Medical's e-prescribing functionality and key technical partnerships / integrations with Surescripts, Medispan, and internal management of medication information mapping tools in Devoted’s platform.
• Involve rigorous testing to validate the functionality and safety of medication-related processes within the EHR. This includes managing certifications, systems integration testing in partnership with engineering teams, and LLM agents
