Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or more than one year of relevant experience
  • Successful completion of the IFIC course or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Proficiency in computer tools, such as MS Office Suite and Internet application
  • Tactful communicator capable of conveying ideas and client information concisely and logically
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and solid planning and time management abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary degree or undergraduate university degree in a related field is an asset
  • Experience in real estate secured credit and investments is an asset
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced investment and credit processes, and banking solutions and concepts to provide personalized advice to clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Obtain the Financial Services Advice Certificate (FSAC) within 12 months of hire
  • Proficiency in a language other than French to provide support or deal with clients who require services and support in a language other than French.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in informing clients about general financial solutions available across various investment and credit banking solutions
  • Engage in conversations with clients, asking insightful financial questions, and create positive experiences to retain clients and deepen relationships
  • Increase clients' financial confidence by providing personalized financial advice, answering their questions and concerns, and escalating issues to team members or partners as needed, while ensuring information accuracy and privacy
  • Act as the front-line staff contact for managing client issues
  • Maintain a professional attitude in common areas, in accordance with regulatory and marketing guidelines
  • Work closely with current and potential clients to provide financial reviews, discuss portfolio updates, and suggest other personalized solutions based on their financial goals
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging issues and evolving regulations and the banking industry's code of conduct, and participate in process improvement opportunities to protect the organization's interests
  • Strive to meet and improve service level agreements and performance objectives
  • Ensure documentation is prepared in accordance with relevant regulations and accurately represents the company's intentions
  • Work as a team, contribute to maintaining a positive and diverse work environment, willingly assist and mentor others in performing their tasks, and effectively address communication issues.
