About The Position

ZeroFox is seeking a Manager, People Operations to join a transforming People team. This role will be instrumental in shaping how new HRIS platforms, integrated payroll functions, and global employment frameworks are implemented and managed. The position serves as the connective tissue between the US-based People Ops function and specialists in Chile and India, working closely with the global HRBP team. The individual will build the benefits frameworks, compliance calendars, and HRIS infrastructure that the entire global People team relies on. This role offers significant cross-functional reach at the manager level.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR operations experience with direct, accountable exposure to payroll management.
  • Hands-on global or multi-state payroll processing experience, with responsibility for output.
  • Experience managing an employee expense report process end-to-end, including reviewing submissions, coordinating approvals, and ensuring timely payment in partnership with Accounting.
  • Working knowledge of US benefits administration (open enrollment, FMLA, ADA accommodations, 401(k), HSA, and state-mandated leave programs across multiple jurisdictions).
  • HRIS proficiency, including experience managing a platform migration or implementation.
  • Strong command of US employment law (FLSA, FMLA, EEO, ERISA, NLRA, ADA) and comfort navigating multi-country compliance requirements.
  • Excel and data skills sufficient to build and audit payroll reconciliations and benefits reports independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience owning payroll, including accuracy, tax filings, and vendor relationships.
  • Experience with multi-state, multi-country HR and payroll compliance.
  • Ability to manage benefits open enrollment and a payroll audit in the same week.
  • Experience managing an HRIS implementation or migration and change management.
  • Proven ability to build processes where none exist.
  • Data-first approach, building dashboards proactively.

Responsibilities

  • Processing payroll, tax compliance, and employee expense report management across US and international jurisdictions (approximately 30% of time).
  • Supporting global benefits administration across the US, Chile, India, UK, and EOR countries.
  • Managing compliance programs.
  • Owning HRIS, including new platform implementation.
  • Managing leave administration.
  • Managing vendor relationships with benefits brokers and HR tech stack providers.
  • Ensuring global initiatives are executed consistently across regions.
  • Partnering with the global HRBP team to deliver a strong employee experience.
