About The Position

As Manager, People Data Governance, you'll build the foundation for scalable people data across our organization. This is a foundational role with real impact: you'll create the single source of truth that enables our leaders to say YES to smarter, faster decisions. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR data management, people data governance, HRIS, or supporting people analytics with a demonstrated track record of improving data quality, establishing governance practices, and enabling data-driven decision making.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data stewardship, and data quality best practices, with an understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
  • Experience developing data standards, business definitions, documentation, or governance processes that improve the consistency and reliability of workforce data.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday reporting and workforce data management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis, data validation, and issue resolution, with the ability to translate complex workforce data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive organizational adoption of data governance practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • experience with Tableau, Snowflake, Cornerstone, Greenhouse, ServiceNow, or similar HR technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce people data governance standards by establishing consistent metric definitions, naming conventions, and data attributes across core HR domains, including headcount, turnover, DEI, recruiting, and internal mobility.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data standards by maintaining the people data dictionary, data hierarchy, business definitions, and documentation that support consistent reporting across People processes.
  • Own people master data quality by leading data audits, resolving data issues, validating organizational hierarchies, evaluating system changes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of workforce data.
  • Partner with Solutions & Insights, HRBPs, COEs, Finance, and IT/Data Engineering to define workforce data requirements, support cross-functional initiatives, and serve as the trusted advisor on people metrics and analytics.
  • Establish and administer people data governance practices for data access, security, privacy, and stewardship by partnering with HR, IT, Legal, and Information Security to protect sensitive workforce data, manage role-based access, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Operationalize scalable people data capabilities by translating business processes into connected data models, defining reusable business logic and metric calculations, identifying automation opportunities, and enabling trusted reporting, self-service analytics, predictive insights, and responsible AI.
