About The Position

The Manager, Pension Accounting & Contract Review supports the leadership and operations of our Pension Accounting/Contract department. You’ll oversee daily departmental functions, lead and develop staff, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounting processes and contract review activities. This position plays a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, supporting strategic initiatives, and serving as a liaison with internal teams, employers, and union representatives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Proven track record of leading teams
2-3+ year of experience required
Demonstrates clear, professional written and interpersonal communication skills
Brings a high level of accuracy, critical thinking, and attention to detail
Excels at prioritizing work, managing time and multiple responsibilities
Builds strong relationships and works effectively across teams

Responsibilities

Supervise departmental operations, including oversight of Supervisors and Staff Assistants.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in accounting functions and contract review processes.
Review and approve labor agreements, extension agreements, and addendums for compliance.
Communicate with Local Unions and Employers to resolve contract and accounting issues.
Analyze data and prepare reports to support performance tracking and decision-making.
Support the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, and system enhancements.
Coordinate system updates, releases, and procedural documentation.
Assist senior leadership with special projects and strategic initiatives.
Perform departmental payroll and other related administrative duties.
