Human Resources Services (HRS) is an internal function providing global operations and business support across Brookfield’s lines of business. Position Summary Reporting to the VP HRIS and Payroll Operations, the Manager, Payroll Tax Compliance is responsible for supporting the US payroll operations team, which includes executive, union and non-union employees, director’s fees, and retirees, and benefits. The Manager will ensure compliance with Federal and State legislation as well as Fair Labor Standards Act that applies to payroll and ensuring compliance with company policies and SOC1 requirements. Partnering with the respective Brookfield companies’ HR and Finance teams, the incumbent oversees the annual compensation process from a payroll perspective, oversees and approves payroll journal entries and general ledgers, benefits and union dues funding. The Manager, Payroll Tax Compliance is also responsible for working with the Brookfield HRIS team for Workday HRIS payroll and benefits tables and codes administration and to create Workday HRIS environment change requests and validate test results when received before they are put into production.
