About The Position

Middle Park Health (MPH) is a rural health system located in Grand and Jackson counties, Colorado. As a Level 4 Trauma hospital, MPH offers a range of services including Emergency and Surgical Services, Rural Health Clinics, Rehabilitation Services Clinics, a Wellness Center, and an Assisted Living Facility. The Manager, Patient Registration will oversee the daily operations of the Patient Registration staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, hiring, and training. This role supports the Director in strategic planning and program development for the department, conducts regular training sessions, and ensures compliance with all state/federal rules and regulations pertaining to registration and intake forms.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent; some post-high school education preferred.
Current CHAA/CHAM certification preferred.
Strong knowledge of computer applications.
Preference for Epic EMR
Effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with superior judgement and decision-making skills.
Strong managerial competencies in the areas of leadership and team development, managerial coaching, mentoring and situational assessment skills in building and developing high performing teams.
5 years of Patient Access Experience with 3 years of supervisory experience in Patient Registration or Scheduling preferred.

Responsibilities

Manages the Patient Registration staff daily.
Ensures that staffing levels are appropriate; performing hiring and training staff.
Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function in stressful situations.
Supports Director in the strategic plans and programs for the Patient Registration team and ensures that the goals and objectives of the team are properly defined and clearly established.
Conducts quarterly training, as well as Just-In-Time training, to guarantee a well-rounded and highly skilled department.
Principal in all state/federal rules and regulations pertaining to registration and intake forms. This includes but not limited to NSA, GFE, Hospital/Clinic consents, MOON, IMM.
