About The Position

The Manager, Parking and Traffic supports the planning, coordination, and execution of parking operations for State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks and more than 175 annual events. Reporting to the Director of Parking & Traffic, this position administers parking technology, supports and maintains parking equipment, analyzes and maintains operational data and reporting, coordinates with our parking operator (OVG) on event execution, and supports continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and the guest experience. The Manager serves as a key operational resource by partnering with internal departments to ensure successful event execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Hospitality, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in parking operations, venue operations, event operations, transportation, or hospitality.
  • Experience administering operational technology platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards.
  • Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in support of events.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization software preferred.
  • Experience with parking technologies such as Parkmobile, JustPark, Parkwhiz, Flash Parking, or similar systems preferred.
  • Experience with access control systems, payment kiosks, license plate recognition, handheld scanners, and mobile payment applications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day parking operations for all arena events in partnership with OVG.
  • Assist with event planning meetings and operational readiness.
  • Ensure parking lots are configured and prepared for each event.
  • Monitor event-day parking operations and communicate operational issues to leadership.
  • Coordinate operational changes with Event Operations, Security, Guest Services, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Document post-event operational reviews and lessons learned.
  • Support implementation of operational improvements and SOPs.
  • Respond to guest parking issues and assist with service recovery.
  • Support event-day traffic operations by monitoring ingress, egress, traffic flow, and roadway access in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with traffic staffing plans to ensure appropriate coverage for event operations.
  • Monitor traffic staff deployment and communicate operational concerns to leadership.
  • Review and track traffic staffing schedules, attendance, and records for accuracy.
  • Help document traffic-related operational issues, staffing concerns, and post-event observations to support continuous improvement.
  • Serve as primary administrator for parking technology platforms.
  • Configure parking events within reservation, inventory, and parking management systems.
  • Maintain accurate parking system data across platforms.
  • Coordinate software testing, upgrades, and implementation of new parking technologies.
  • Troubleshoot parking technology with vendors and IT.
  • Maintain system documentation and train OVG on parking software and equipment.
  • Produce recurring reports and dashboards for leadership.
  • Analyze utilization, occupancy, revenue trends, and operational metrics.
  • Assist with forecasting parking demand using historical event data.
  • Audit parking data for accuracy.
  • Support business reviews by preparing operational and financial reporting.
  • Identify trends and recommend operational efficiencies through data analysis.
  • Maintain inventory of parking equipment, technology assets, and facility-related materials.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for parking equipment and facility systems.
  • Track equipment repairs, maintenance activity, and vendor service requests to ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor the performance and condition of parking equipment and facility assets; recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Help maintain parking facilities in a clean, safe, and operational condition.
  • Identify, document, and report facility, maintenance, and equipment issues to the appropriate internal teams and vendor partners.
  • Follow up on reported issues to support timely completion and resolution.
  • Assist with routine inspections of parking areas, equipment, and facility conditions before and after events.
