About The Position

Join our team as a Manager, Organizational Effectiveness and Learning! In this role, you’ll translate strategy into scalable leadership capability, building consistent experiences across the organization, and ensuring leaders are equipped to drive performance, growth, and integration in a complex, fast-scaling environment. You will build, launch and own the enterprise leadership system, and support broader enterprise effectiveness priorities. You’ll design an annual roadmap that will embed leadership and learning into talent, performance and workforce planning. You’ll establish standardized enterprise onboarding programs, create and embed frameworks for all learning and leadership initiatives. You will also, lead, coach and develop the Corporate Learning team, ensuring clear priorities, strong execution, and a high-performance culture that delivers the learning roadmap on time and within scope. This position is based at our Home Office in Calgary, Alberta.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Effectiveness, or a related HR discipline
  • Demonstrated experience designing and rolling out competency frameworks or leadership development programs, and onboarding or leader integration experiences across multiple modalities, including instructional design for e-learning, facilitated sessions, and on-the-job leaning
  • Strong understanding of competency-based talent management systems and learning roadmap development, with proven ability to translate business strategy into capability and lead program management
  • Experience with learning platforms and tools (LMS/LXP), data analysis, and measurement of learning effectiveness to inform continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with experience influencing stakeholders and presenting effectively to senior leaders across all levels
  • Proven ability to inspire, coach, and mentor a team while driving organizational goals
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously and thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive leader with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively

  • Graduate degree is an asset
  • Experience in high-growth, multi-site, M&A-driven, or distributed workforce environments (retail, healthcare, or similar) is an asset, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Certification in facilitation, coaching, or instructional design is an asset (e.g., ATD/CPTD, ICF, Prosci)
  • Familiarity with McLean & Co. frameworks or methodology is an asset
  • Bilingualism English and French is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development, evolution and deployment of FYi’s Leadership System, encompassing leadership competencies, level-specific behavioral indicators, assessment frameworks, and core leadership programs
  • Embed our competencies into talent management systems, integrating FYi values into leadership expectations and practices, ensuring consistency across banners while allowing for operational flexibility
  • Lead the Corporate Learning team to design and deliver high-impact, practical learning solutions and execute an enterprise learning roadmap aligned to business priorities, overseeing development of leadership, functional, and foundational learning programs
  • Design and evolve enterprise onboarding pathways aligned to role and leadership expectations
  • Manage learning delivery across modalities including e-learning, facilitated sessions, and on-the-job tools, embedding learning into the flow of work and drive adoption of scalable learning platforms while ensuring quality and consistency of all L&OE content
  • Support organizational design, team effectiveness, change management and workforce planning by identifying capability gaps and partnering with HR Business Partners to design targeted learning interventions that strengthen leadership capability and employee engagement
  • Define and embed onboarding standards that accelerate time to productivity across both acquired and existing teams, supporting M&A integration through leadership alignment and capability building
  • Establish and track clear success metrics for all leadership and learning initiatives, including adoption, impact, and capability progression, using data and feedback to continuously refine programs and eliminate low-value or duplicative learning activities
  • Provide regular reporting on learning metrics, program effectiveness, and framework adoption to the Senior Director and executive stakeholders
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Corporate Learning team, setting clear priorities, managing workloads, and fostering a high-performance, collaborative team culture
  • Serve as the primary L&OE partner to senior leaders and people managers, building and maintaining strong relationships with external partners
  • Design and execute a phased communication and activation plan for the leadership framework in partnership with HR Business Partners
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals
