About The Position

This role involves overseeing and coordinating product movement and customer service operations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws. The Manager, Operations will manage facility budgets, monitor operational procedures, and maintain quality control standards while supervising and developing team members. Regular inspections and reporting will be conducted to ensure safety, security, and adherence to company and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Radio Frequency (RF) technology.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Experience in the Cold Storage or Food industry
Bilingual Spanish
Experience working in a Union environment
Willingness to mentor and support development of subordinate employees.
Associate's Degree preferred

Responsibilities

Oversee product handling and customer service operations ensuring procedures and key performance indicators are met.
Develop annual facility budgets and monitor progress towards departmental goals.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and occupational safety laws and guidelines.
Manage staff including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, appraising performance, and resolving issues.
Maintain operational procedures for shipment verification, inventory control, and quality standards for perishables.
Ensure compliance with company policies and all Federal, State, and Local OSHA regulations including safety training and reporting injuries.
Coordinate activities between warehouse, distribution, sales record control, and purchasing departments to ensure merchandise availability and security.
