Schedule: 2nd shift: 3:30 pm to 11 pm Monday - Friday Hours based on business need Summary Manages all activities related to operations and development of company products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Able to communicate and work along with all employees.
  • Lead associates with daily tasks and workload priorities.
  • Maintains a high standard for safety, cleanliness, and overall work practices.
  • Responsible for completing daily shift paperwork.
  • Determines staffing needs based on workload and schedules staff accordingly.
  • Assigns workers to specific duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
  • Reviews and updates operational procedures as necessary and ensures they are communicated to and understood by the warehouse associates.
  • Tracks productivity and quality performance by individual, function, and department.
  • Works with Inventory Control to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy possible.
  • Advises employees on handling of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
  • Traces the history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Issues with written and oral instructions.
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
  • Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Manages up to 5 subordinate supervisors who supervise 50+ employees in the Special Projects, Shipping and Receiving, Packing, Order Processing, Routing, Inventory, and Auditing departments.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
