About The Position

The Manager, Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for a multi-specialty physician group, overseeing day-to-day operations as well as practice performance across diverse service lines. Serving as a practice manager and liaison to multiple physician practices, the Manager will ensure operational functionality, clinical workflow, team member oversight and financial strategies are efficient, clearly defined and meeting organizational standards. The Manager is responsible for clinical and operational success, financial stewardship, including productivity analysis, revenue cycle monitoring, and expense management. This includes team member management as well as evaluating provider productivity, benchmarking performance metrics, identifying operational inefficiencies, and implementing data-driven strategies to enhance revenue optimization and cost containment while maintaining high standards of patient care. The manager will also be responsible for Clinic Manager tasks and oversight, as well as the training of new team members and mentoring of future Clinic Managers. In partnership with the physician services team and practice managers, the Manager will be learning to drive continuous improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and patient experience excellence from Directors in Physician Services. The role requires time management skills, project management capabilities, managing competing priorities, and executing complex operational projects from planning through implementation and evaluation. Success in this position demands exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical acumen, and the ability to coach and develop high-performing teams. The Manager must demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and a collaborative leadership style that fosters accountability, engagement, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across the multi-specialty enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in physician practice management with preference for experience in multi-specialty and multi-site management.
  • Strong preference for advanced knowledge of revenue cycle and both cash and accrual based accounting.
  • Experience in both private practice and employed provider models also preferred.
  • Strong preference for advanced competency in data analysis including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Power BI
  • Must have a valid license to drive.

  • Provide workflow, operational efficiencies and clinical guidance to team members on multiple physician teams.
  • Provide strategic oversight of multi-specialty practice operations, including recruitment and development of Practice Managers and alignment of administrative functions across finance, HR, IT, credentialing, and contracting.
  • Clinic management of 5-6 practices across the organization.
  • Partner directly with physicians and Physician Services Directors to address operational and financial performance, overseeing monthly financial reporting, overhead management, deficit monitoring, and productivity analytics.
  • Lead workforce planning and talent management initiatives in collaboration with Human Resources to sustain high-performing practice teams.
  • Develop skillset to analyze and trend key financial and operational metrics—charges, collections, net income, and expense ratios—translating data into actionable insights for physicians and leadership.
  • Coordinate physician communications to ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with organizational objectives.
