About The Position

Lead high-impact operational initiatives that improve how we plan, execute, and measure work across the business. As a Walmart Manager, Operations, you’ll own one or more workstreams end-to-end—building project plans, aligning stakeholders, translating data into decisions, and delivering tools and process improvements that drive efficiency, reduce cost, and elevate the customer/member experience. This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, analytics, and cross-functional execution. Our Operations team partners across the business to turn strategy into scalable execution—bringing structure to complex initiatives, improving operational processes, and building tools that help teams deliver results. We work in tight collaboration with cross-functional partners (including product, engineering, merchandising, and field stakeholders) to identify opportunities, test solutions, and drive adoption. This role directly impacts business performance by improving decision-making, strengthening operational discipline, and ensuring initiatives land on time with measurable outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional operational initiatives with clear timelines, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical capability: turning ambiguous data into insights, recommendations, and decision support.
  • Background improving processes and/or building operational tools, reports, or customer-facing functionality.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, communicate clearly, and drive execution while ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • People leadership experience (hiring, coaching, performance development) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 2 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage one or more operational workstreams by building project plans, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder cadences.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment, remove blockers, and take corrective action to keep initiatives on track.
  • Source, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, root causes, and actionable recommendations.
  • Drive implementation of business solutions, including scorecards, tracking mechanisms, and operational tools.
  • Lead associate development through coaching, recognition, and a culture of belonging and accountability.
