About The Position

The Manager Operations Excellence - Northeast Business Unit supports Regional Directors of Operations (RDOs) in coaching, training, and developing District Managers (DMs). This role involves reviewing periodic reporting and collaborating with RDOs and DMs on Business Unit Operations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify and address performance gaps. The Manager will lead operations programs, ensure BU compliance with initiatives like EZ Visit, store audits, and Closed Loop, and oversee the implementation and training of new operations programs. They will also support RDOs and DMs with New to Industry (NTI) initiatives, Rewards & Recognition (R&R) programs, and acquisition integration. Additionally, this position serves as the BU communications gatekeeper, reviews shrink results and action plans with DMs, and ensures Quorso/EasyOps missions are actioned and engagement levels are maintained. The role involves reviewing audit results and working with RDOs and DMs on coaching and store improvement, acting as the Point of Contact (POC) for store supplies and waste management with reporting oversight for budget adherence, and providing analysis of store Profit & Loss (P&L) statements. Other duties include administrative tasks, reporting, and CK360 updates. The role requires approximately 3 days per week of store visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field preferred. Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted
  • Three to five years of retail business experience in multi-site leadership or more are preferred; including minimum of two years of management responsibility
  • Ability to present in meetings and conduct training
  • Ability to mentor District Managers and support RDOs
  • Ability to supervise and manage the functions related to employees on roll-out teams
  • Expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word preferred
  • Ability to travel, to include overnight
  • A current valid driver’s license is required to operate a company vehicle
  • Ability to speak and write in the English language
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both written and oral, is essential if located in the Eastern Canada Business Unit
  • Regularly required to sit (possibly for long periods of a time), talk and/or hear.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and/or a computer mouse is required.
  • The employee frequently is required to use his/her hands to handle or grasp items of varying weight.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with both hands and arms.

Responsibilities
