About The Position

Monash University is seeking a strategic leader with a passion for operational excellence and navigating complex quality landscapes to fill the role of Manager, Operations and Quality. This pivotal position will drive world-class standards across the university's research infrastructure, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The role involves evolving the Quality Management System (QMS), harnessing AI-enabled digital tools, and ensuring research infrastructure operations remain at the forefront of global compliance and innovation. The Manager will lead the implementation of quality frameworks across all Monash campuses, leverage data-informed insights and AI capabilities to streamline audits and reporting, act as a specialist adviser to senior stakeholders, and manage strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Proven ability to leverage digital automation and business systems to drive efficiency.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate a diverse stakeholder landscape and lead major projects to success.
Ability to conceptualize high-level policies while maintaining a sharp eye on the finer details of organisational risk.
Willingness to undertake relevant certification (e.g., ISO9001) after commencement is expected.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of ISO9001 or similar standards within research or operational settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the QMS using advanced digital tools.
Manage the Quality Audit program, coordinating both internal and external assurance activities.
Conduct research and analysis to support platform management reviews and strategic decision-making.
Lead relevant committees and maintain strong relationships with internal business units and external service providers.
