About The Position

Compass Health Center is seeking a leader for our Under 18 Program (Child and Adolescent) overseeing Group Therapy at our Oak Brook facility. We are looking for an experienced clinically licensed therapist who will lead evidenced-based group therapy to Children and Adolescents (under 18) and who will lead, supervise, manage and mentor group therapists within the program.

Requirements

  • Master’s level clinician with 4+ years of post-master’s clinical experience conducting individual, family, and/or group therapy.
  • Clinical licensed required: PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCPC
  • Knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing CBT, ACT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among other effective treatments.
  • Experience with patients in crisis.
  • Experience supervising mental health workers, both licensed and seeking licensure.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Strength in collaborating and consulting with various programs and their differing needs
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist Associate Directors and Program Directors in overseeing quality of care within all Under 18 Programs (Mood and Anxiety, OCD, School Refusal, and Mental Health Substance Use)
  • Oversight and implementation of program material and curriculum
  • Continued development and refinement of Group Curriculum
  • Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) as well as other evidenced-based therapies
  • Oversee and manage group therapy operations. This includes administrative responsibilities as well as mentoring and developing group therapists within the program.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other leaders in the under 18 programs as well as within Oak Brook facility and Compass.
  • Providing clinical supervision for staff working towards licensure
  • Supervising and managing a team of group therapists and mental health professionals
  • Provide Group Therapy
  • Engaging in crisis management, as needed
  • Participating in professional development activities
  • As indicated, participating in community outreach
  • Schedule, conduct and write intakes of new patients to the program as needed
  • Advertise, interview, hire staff, as needed
  • Engage in frequent communication and collaboration with team members via rounds, EMR notes, emails, and face-to-face communication.
  • Writes and delivers performance reviews for the group therapy team
  • Providing primary individual therapy to a caseload of patients as needed
