You'll set technical and strategic direction for the team, partner closely with adjacent engineering and product groups, and bring the best of Applied's global network to accelerate our developments. Requirements

  • Proven track record leading software and/or controls engineering for robust, high-reliability systems such as industrial automation or semiconductor equipment.
  • Experience running sizable engineering organizations, including leading other managers.
  • Strong stakeholder management across multiple product lines, with a record of setting and hitting milestones.
  • BS/MS in EE, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in engineering
  • 3+ years in people management

  • Demonstrated success leading geographically distributed teams, including offshore/India-based engineering centers, across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the software and controls engineering teams, setting technical direction and execution priorities.
  • Partner with the algorithms team lead to prioritize initiatives and align roadmaps across distributed teams.
  • Work across multiple product stakeholders to define clear milestones and delivery targets for each product and hold the organization accountable to them.
  • Lead globally distributed teams across time zones, including offshore engineering centers, and drive a coherent strategy across all sites.
  • Leverage Applied's broader network to identify best practices and scale them across the organization.
  • Apply AI tools and methods to improve team productivity and product capability.
