Requirements

Bachelor's degree
2-4 Years of frontline donor development experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make public presentations.

Nice To Haves

Formal training in annual giving, major gifts, foundation giving, planned giving, and other donor development activities is a plus

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting mission-centered, local donor cultivation events and prospecting $10k-%$50k+ high impact donors for regional and national stewardship activities.
Partner with the Philanthropy Director and the Education, Services and Health Research department to communicate the Blood Cancer United mission, programs, resources, and priorities effectively to internal and external audiences.
Responsible for identifying and qualifying individual and foundation donor leads and managing a major gift portfolio of prospects capable of giving $10k-$50k+ with a portfolio size of 50+ prospects within the first year and working towards building a portfolio of 80-100 qualified prospects within year two.
Create and implement a robust moves management plan for donors and prospects within the assigned portfolio, including donor stewardship strategies and activities.
Develop a re-engagement strategy for lapsed major gift donors from the past three years.
Lead monthly-quarterly region Philanthropy prospecting sessions with all region campaign staff to identify major gift leads.
Support donor cultivation events and other donor engagement activities within the Region.
Responsible for individual major giving through the engagement of region donors and volunteer leaders capable of giving $10k-$50k+.
Cultivate relationships with key prospects within the designated Region.
Maintain a working knowledge of the Blood Cancer United mission and programs to promote Organizational initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
