Membership is one of the most important ways people connect with The Trustees and invest in our mission to protect and share Massachusetts' special places. As the Manager of Membership Engagement, you will lead efforts to grow membership by bringing The Trustees' value proposition directly to visitors, event attendees, and communities across the Commonwealth. You will serve as the organization's field-based membership leader—building relationships with property teams, creating a culture of membership engagement across our network of reservations, and developing strategies that convert visitors into members and members into lifelong supporters. Through training, coaching, outreach, and direct engagement, you will help strengthen the connection between the experiences people have at our special places and their commitment to our mission. As the Manager of Membership Engagement, you will develop and execute statewide membership acquisition and engagement strategies that increase visibility, drive membership growth, and strengthen collaboration between the Membership team and property-based staff. This is a highly collaborative, relationship-driven role that requires strong communication skills, initiative, and a passion for connecting people to mission-driven experiences. You will work closely with property teams, Marketing, Customer Service, Development, and Membership Operations to ensure a consistent and compelling membership experience across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of Membership, you will also supervise the Membership Engagement Associate and provide leadership, coaching, and support to help achieve acquisition goals and deepen member engagement.
