About The Position

At the Woodhaven Retirement Community, we are committed to providing compassionate care and enriching the lives of our residents. Woodhaven is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Manager of Life Enrichment to develop and coordinate our activity programming for residents. This full-time leadership role is responsible for developing engaging programs, supervising life enrichment and Independent Living staff, and supporting a vibrant community experience—within both our Assisted Living and Independent Living population. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and passionate about enhancing quality of life for older adults.

Requirements

  • Supervisory or leadership experience required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Creative mindset with the ability to implement diverse programming
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Compassionate, energetic, and resident-focused

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in senior living, recreation, therapeutic activities, or related field preferred
  • Bachelor’s (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and oversee multiple comprehensive monthly activity calendars
  • Plan and oversee engaging, meaningful programs tailored to resident interests
  • Coordinate with outside agencies and organizations to develop programs to enhance resident experiences including regional Adult Day Program
  • Supervise and support Life Enrichment staff including interviewing, hiring and scheduling
  • Oversee programming and staffing in Independent Living
  • Manage activity supplies, budget, and community partnerships
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and proper documentation of programs and resident activity participation
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating community environment
  • Lead life enriching activities while promoting residents’ socialization, growth and development.
  • Obtain a chauffeur license and safely transport residents and coordinate/oversee resident outings.
