About The Position

Position Title: Manager of IT Position Type: Full-Time, Hands-on Leadership Location: Multi-site (Local travel required). This is not a remote position. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (equivalent hands-on experience will absolutely be considered).
  • 5–8+ years of relevant, well-rounded IT experience, preferably in a hands-on generalist capacity.
  • Proven expertise administering Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, and cloud-based environments.
  • Direct experience coordinating with or managing external vendors and/or MSPs.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills paired with a patient, customer-service mindset and top-notch communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working within a nonprofit, healthcare, or multi-site organization.
  • Solid familiarity with modern IT security practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Previous leadership or informal supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, manage the ticketing system, and ensure a high standard of customer service and timely issue resolution.
  • Provide direct, tier-2/3 technical support for hardware, software, network, and communication systems when needed.
  • Support our diverse ecosystem, ensuring seamless connectivity and technology performance for both on-site and remote users.
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, MFA, and SharePoint environments.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance and uptime in close coordination with our external partners.
  • Drive core security practices, including managing user access controls, conducting audits, and facilitating staff security awareness training.
  • Assist in shaping and executing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and our Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
  • Coordinate system maintenance, project rollouts, and issue resolution with external partners while monitoring vendor contracts and service performance.
  • Lead IT projects (upgrades, implementations) and track key IT metrics to identify efficiency gains.
  • Act as a patient, trusted resource, training staff on Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and SharePoint best practices.
  • Manage hardware inventory, software licensing, IT purchasing, and assist in contract reviews.
