About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Manager of IT Infrastructure Engineering to lead and actively contribute across systems, networking, and security. This is a true player‑coach role, ideal for a technical leader who enjoys mentoring engineers while remaining deeply involved in infrastructure design, operations, and complex problem‑solving. You’ll lead a team of systems and network engineers and work closely with our Cybersecurity partners to strengthen the reliability, resilience, and security of our hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems, and network engineering
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams in a hands‑on role
  • Strong experience operating in cloud environments across Azure, AWS, enterprise networking, and Microsoft platforms
  • Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, etc.)
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Cybersecurity teams
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust and modern security frameworks
  • Sound technical judgment and comfort adopting new technologies—including AI—responsibly and pragmatically
  • Ability to balance people leadership with deep technical ownership

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of systems and network engineers
  • Remain hands‑on with infrastructure architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Foster a culture where engineers spend less time on reactive toil and more time on delivering added value
  • Encourage continuous improvement through automation, better tooling, and data‑driven decision‑making
  • Partner closely with Cybersecurity to align infrastructure initiatives with security strategy, risk management, and shared visibility
  • Design, build, and support secure, scalable on‑premises and cloud infrastructure
  • Manage Windows and/or Linux server provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Operate workloads across Azure and AWS, including networking, compute, and identity services
  • Lead modernization efforts such as cloud adoption, automation, resiliency improvements, and platform standardization
  • Leverage AI‑assisted monitoring and analysis to enable faster detection and resolution of incidents, improving operational reliability
  • Own infrastructure lifecycle management, including capacity planning, patching, and upgrades
  • Ensure infrastructure standards support compliance, observability, logging, and threat detection
  • Participate in on‑call or escalation rotations as a senior technical leader
  • Maintain documentation and SOPs for all managed systems and services
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity on Zero Trust and SASE‑aligned designs
  • Remediate findings from audits, assessments, and incident reviews
  • Lead core platforms, including: Active Directory / Entra ID and MFA / SSO Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) Microsoft Intune for device provisioning, compliance, and lifecycle management Windows Server and supporting services Patching, vulnerability remediation, and access controls
