Responsibilities
Assist in managing client relationships
Review accounting records, supporting schedules, and financial reports for assigned clients
Review cash activity, including journal entries and wire transfers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Review investment activity, such as purchases and sales, and interest accruals/income
Review comprehensive workpapers that fully reconcile and support the trial balance
Review IRS Form 1099 in compliance with regulatory requirements
Ability to prepare all above bullets if needed
Ensure standard procedures and controls are adhered to
Communicate with clients to obtain information, resolve inquiries, and provide status updates
Coordinate deliverables with client and internal teams
Ensure all processes are in line with the SLA and escalate when needed
Support the year end audit process as well as SOC 1 audit and SBA exam
Career development, supervision, and training of staff
Lead/Participate in projects focused on improving operational efficiency, including automation of Excel-based calculations and enhancement of workpaper processes
Ensure that best practices are used by fund accounting team
Perform internal tasks, including mandatory training and time tracking
Benefits
Compensation decisions are dependent on a number of factors including job location and the knowledge and experience of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $100,000 to $140,000.
