We have a new opportunity for a Manager of Financial Consolidation. The primary responsibility for this position will be to manage the global consolidation and reporting process of American Vanguard using Oracle FCCS (Hyperion) and report results. In addition, this position will support the 10-Q and 10-K reporting process, and manage various other accounting support functions. The expectation for this position will be to develop and maintain best-in-class processes and procedures for the consolidation and reporting process.

Requirements

  • Strong skills with Hyperion or Oracle FCCS
  • Good understanding of GAAP concepts
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Mindset of need to be “best in class” in relation processes and procedures
  • Strive to continually improve
  • Strive to develop and maintain a positive team environment
  • BA or BS degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum two years experience in managing financial consolidation utilizing Oracle FCCS or Hyperion

Nice To Haves

  • CPA a plus
  • Experience in supporting 10-Q and 10-K filings a plus
  • Experience with QAD a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation for all global entities
  • Prepare executive-ready financial packages
  • Support the 10-Q/10-K reporting process
  • Manage foreign exchange translations and analyze currency translation adjustments
  • Coordinate with internal/external auditors, support SOX compliance, and prepare statutory reporting materials
  • Oversee consolidation software (FCCS/Hyperion)
  • Drive efforts to improve the consolidation and reporting processes and coordinate efforts to introduce technology solutions, where appropriate
  • Provide ad hoc reports as requested
  • Work on special projects as needed
