About The Position

The Manager of Events is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing Ravens events throughout the year. The Manager of Events will provide leadership and full event support across all Ravens Marketing events, including, but not limited to, Draft Party, Beach Visits, Movie Night, Training Camp, Stadium Practices, Kickoff Week, Watch Parties, A Purple Evening, Purple Fridays, and Playoff activations. This role will also provide support for event operations tied to Ravens game entertainment initiatives. The Manager of Events will play a key role in implementing Ravens marketing goals and objectives while managing daily event operations, staff, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or sports management, hospitality, or related field.
  • 3-7 years’ experience working in the sports or live event industry, preferably with a sports team.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and large-scale activations.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
  • Passion for the business of sports, customer focus, attention to detail, and operational excellence are of profound importance.
  • Must be able to effectively work on and manage several tasks/projects at one time in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while keeping key stakeholders in the loop.
  • Excellent organizational skills, mind for business/entertainment and analytics as well as creative evaluation skills.
  • Keen ability to build strong relationships with business partners, fans and entertainment teams as well as maintain objective position when asked to evaluate. Ability to build and instill trust is vital.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams & PowerPoint).
  • Must have the ability to work long hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as well as have the ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and shuffle items up to 50lbs a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Participated in event execution and providing post-operational event feedback/recaps at the college, minor or pro-level is desired.
  • Experience in interacting with fans as well as input in developing creative marketing campaigns a plus.
  • Knowledge of event and project management software a plus (i.e., Social Tables, Asana).

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside Sr. Manager of Events to coordinate the logistics necessary to execute events. This includes but is not limited to creating an operations plan, a run of show, venue layout, PA script, determining event activities, ordering signage, and developing a staffing plan for each event.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and execute innovative event experiences that enhance fan engagement and elevate the Ravens brand.
  • Support and manage event budgets, including forecasting, invoice processing, and financial reconciliation.
  • Coordinate event related communication and deadlines with internal stakeholders to ensure teamwork and collaboration organization wide.
  • Develop relationships and work with various stadium partners, external vendors and contractors for event needs leading up to, during and after each event.
  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules, ensuring all vendor load-in/load-out logistics are clearly communicated and executed efficiently.
  • Lead post-event recaps and evaluations, documenting performance metrics, successes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide assistance in the planning and execution of key game entertainment initiatives including pre-game, in-game, and halftime entertainment.
  • Aid in the hiring, development, and management of Training Camp and season long intern.
  • Provide event support to key Marketing and fan affinity initiatives as needed and determined by the Sr. Manager of Events.
  • Provide game presentation execution assistance as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
