About The Position

The Core OS EPM team is seeking an experienced manager to lead a team of project managers responsible for driving the delivery of critical cross-functional power initiatives across all of Apple’s products, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, HomePod and Apple Watch. We are seeking a talented EPM manager to lead a team of program managers that support the Power engineering organization. This team drives critical efforts that span both software and hardware teams in order to deliver the best power experience for both new and shipping hardware. You’ll have an opportunity to partner and build strong relationships in collaboration with SWE, Product Design, HI, Systems, and other teams at Apple. As the Manager of this team, you will hire, lead, coach, inspire and develop a team of Engineering Project Managers that are tasked with identifying and driving complex projects with our UI / System Experience teams responsible for delivering exciting features while continuing to meet our ambitious power and ADBL goals. You will need to collaborate with other program management teams across SWE, Product Design, HI, Platform Architecture to support and improve how we deliver projects in Apple at scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of project management experience
• 2+ years of managing project managers
• Experience in managing people managers
• Driving large cross-functional efforts across major technical subject areas (SW, HW, Silicon, and QA)
• Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, consultation and organizational skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to influence and impact key decisions
• BS or MS in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience in working across platforms, particularly in the areas of power, thermals, battery life, performance, and charging is desirable

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, coach, inspire and develop a team of Engineering Project Managers.
• Identify and drive complex projects with UI / System Experience teams.
• Deliver exciting features while meeting ambitious power and ADBL goals.
