About The Position

PharmaCann, Inc. is a leading producer of cannabis-based products with facilities and dispensaries across multiple states. We are seeking energetic, results-driven individuals to join our growing team. This position is responsible for managing and directing the Cure department, overseeing team members, drying chambers, supplies, and processes to ensure consistent, compliant, organized, and high-quality results. The Manager of Cure will report to the Senior Manager of Post Harvest and collaborate with other Post Harvest departments to optimize trimming, drying, curing, and packaging processes. The role requires professionalism, safety, and effective leadership to achieve weekly objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be eligible for the position based on state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Able to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Able to move about a typical office, manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Working with the cannabis plant, breaking it down by hand and scissors.
  • Potentially working with machinery to trim, sort, and package cannabis product.
  • Able to kneel, bend, reach, rotate, and stoop on an intermittent to regular basis daily.
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Consistent on-time attendance for all scheduled shifts.
  • Prepared for over 40+ hour work weeks within this position, occasionally.
  • Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
  • Knowledge of local, state, regional states, and federal employment laws relating to key areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper execution of all department aspects, including employee management, production cadence, product quality separation, machinery and drying chamber maintenance, and quality control for packaging.
  • Provide effective leadership to employees, ensuring alignment with PharmaCann’s vision, mission, and values to foster a positive work environment and high morale.
  • Ensure effective communication with team members and Cure department staff to enhance team unity and operational flow.
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met, including immediate adjustment of practices to accommodate dynamic changes.
  • Ensure all staff follow company-defined protocols and enforce all company policies and regulations.
  • Assist in establishing initial and ongoing training for employees regarding guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage employees, including planning, assigning and directing work, examining performance, conducting evaluations, coaching, supervising, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving employee issues.
  • Monitor employee attendance, time off balances, time off requests, pay changes, position changes, and other attendance-related processes.
  • Assist with developing and managing projects, including defining scope, resources, and achieving deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of workflow throughout the cultivation facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Post Harvest.
  • Plan and execute through the support of the Senior Manager of Post Harvest to guide and train Cure department members in maintaining proper organization of rooms.
  • Ensure upkeep and maintenance of machinery and drying chambers through participation, practice, training, guiding, and disciplining.
  • Manage the communication and reporting of product concerns with Post Harvest leadership, ensuring proper awareness, organization, and analysis.
  • Ensure sufficient supplies for the Cure department are ordered and available, coordinating purchasing with the Supply Chain department.
  • Provide direction and support to associates to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and organized work area.
  • Direct Cure department staff in upholding current laws and regulations, adapting to updated regulations for safe and effective practices.
  • Oversee and support the organizing and securing of all Biotrack tags and harvest batches.
  • Manage Standard Operating Procedures for the Cure Department.
  • Update and track all required information in Cure department logs and spreadsheets daily.
  • Monitor and address situations such as lost tags and minimizing product loss, determining plants for extraction or discarding.
  • Direct Cure department staff in training and supervision to ensure compliance, managing, coordinating, training, coaching, supervising, disciplining, and analyzing with staff to maintain compliant practices and workflow.
  • Address, report, and resolve any compliance or safety mistakes or errors, communicating with appropriate leadership for resolution.
  • Supervise and manage Cure department staff, including hiring and developing, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving employee issues.
  • Ensure individual and team performance meets PharmaCann’s standards of service and quality.
