The Opportunity: We are seeking a Director of Application Development to lead the team that develops the front end and back end services that power CloudHesive's SaaS-based Cloud Management Platform, ConnectPath. The Director partners with the Product Manager (who owns product direction) and the Architect (who owns architectural decisions) to translate product vision and technical strategy into delivered features, and serves as Scrum Master for the development team.

Requirements

8+ years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Must be a U.S. Person eligible to work in FedRAMP-authorized environments.
Experience leading SaaS platform development on AWS (serverless and containerized), ideally multitenant.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK), event-driven systems, and modern identity/security patterns.

Nice To Haves

Scrum Master or equivalent agile certification (CSM, SAFe, or similar) preferred.
Experience driving AI adoption in software development strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a team of application developers focused on building, enhancing, and maintaining ConnectPath.
Partner with the Product Manager on backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning; partner with the Architect on technical sequencing and architectural standards.
Serve as Scrum Master: facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and coach the team on agile practices.
Lead the adoption of AI tools across the development org, including AI-assisted coding and agentic workflows.
Oversee SaaS platform operations: monitoring, high availability, disaster recovery, and scaling.
Communicate delivery progress and health metrics to senior leadership.
