About The Position

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the Nursing Department. As a Registered Nurse, the role assesses, plans, implements, and coordinates patient care from admission to discharge and helps achieve patient outcomes through critical pathways in accordance with the hospital's mission.

Requirements

• Current licensure in the state.
• Successful completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support course.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and/or BSN.

Nice To Haves

• CNOR certification.
• Master's degree in Nursing or Management.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate the patient's pathway and ensure its implementation to achieve identified outcomes.
• Assume a leadership role in providing quality nursing care to patients receiving services within the Nursing Department.
• Demonstrate continued competence in assessing, treating, and caring for individuals based on age-specific needs and a developmental perspective.
• Demonstrate appropriate knowledge and competence in the designated skills identified for the position.
• Supervise the smooth functioning of the unit on the assigned shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
