About The Position

This role provides leadership in the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes aligned with professional standards and Munson Healthcare values. The position involves leading continuous quality improvement efforts, promoting a culture of safety, evaluating nursing care effectiveness, and using evidence-based practice, data, and nursing-sensitive indicators to improve patient outcomes. The manager will direct patient care delivery, integrate policies, regulations, and clinical guidelines, and foster strong interdisciplinary collaboration to support coordinated, efficient care across populations served. Additionally, the role includes staff leadership, performance, and development, encompassing recruitment, orientation, mentoring, evaluation, and support of nursing staff through shared governance, fair performance management, corrective action when needed, and ongoing professional growth and education. The manager is also responsible for maintaining management competencies, engaging in continuous learning and professional organizations, modeling collegial relationships, effective communication, and upholding Munson’s Exceptional Skills with People (ESP) and mission-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
  • BSN is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ambulatory/acute care setting.
  • Demonstrated administrative and supervisory ability.

Nice To Haves

  • MSN or MBA in a health-related field preferred.
