About The Position

Responsible to lead provider network relations, operational support and analyst teams in strategizing, defining and delivering comprehensive new system enhancements, processes, and training to maintain and grow VSP’s Provider Network. Direct the Provider Network teams responsible for the implementation and operational management of provider data and relationships. Communicate strategic goals and the impact the teams’ efforts have in achieving the division and organizational goals. Participate in the development of key division initiatives; lead and manage the implementation of assigned corporate strategies and follow up on operational performance, training and metrics for Provider Network to ensure operational stability. Accountable for the development of a system/dashboard to monitor data integrity within the Network Development team, including quality and provider relations team metrics. Direct the team to achieve and maintain service goals; work closely with SBUs, payment and product integration, and regulatory compliance. Partner with Legal on developing and reviewing vendor contracts, unique practice ownership scenarios and provider escalations. Responsible for the deployment and delivery of insurance and regulatory training content for providers and their staff. Responsible for provider networks, including maintaining appropriate access, developing and maintaining compliance with network standards. Accountable for business area impact assessments, business analysis and implementation of corporate and divisional projects, ensuring operational readiness. Partner with division leadership, business partners, to recommend solutions or enhancements to the provider network. Monitor performance of direct reports; provide prompt and objective coaching and counseling; conduct performance reviews; recommend salary increases. Participate in the hiring and interviewing process for open positions, ensuring that the most qualified candidates are selected. Assure effective communications are maintained. Inform employees as to plans and progress; conduct employee discussion sessions at regular intervals. Responsible for the department budget; monitor expenses to ensure costs are within established levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Health Care or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Management, Supervisory, or Leadership experience
  • Experience in the health care industry or equivalent
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, interpret and apply information in contractual documents, policies and procedures
  • Excellent leadership skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Manage multiple complex division projects where independent action, high degree of initiative and coordination across departments is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups
  • Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
