About The Position

We are Oscar, a health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family. This role is on the Network Contracting team. You will be responsible for managing network contracting efforts to ensure a robust and cost-effective provider network. You will negotiate contracts with healthcare providers, analyze network performance, and collaborate with internal teams to achieve strategic network goals.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in network contracting or a related field within the healthcare industry.
Experience leading teams or managing projects.
Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts.
Understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and payment models.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a tech/start-up environment.
Familiarity with value-based care models.
Experience with provider data management systems.

Responsibilities

Negotiate and execute contracts with healthcare providers to ensure competitive rates and favorable terms.
Analyze provider network performance, identify trends, and develop strategies for network optimization.
Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure contract compliance and operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key provider groups and stakeholders.
Monitor the healthcare landscape for changes that may impact network strategy and contract negotiations.
