About The Position

The Human Resources Manager oversees the daily operations of the Human Resources department, including the administration of policies and programs. This role involves balancing employee advocacy with business needs, fostering positive employee relations, and ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws.

Requirements

  • A degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote, and PowerPoint, and skilled in using a Windows-based computer system.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and assistance to employees and management regarding interpretation, compliance, and enforcement of Human Resource policies and procedures, state and federal laws including ADA, FMLA and Workers Compensation.
  • Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Provides support and guidance when sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • Provides support regarding job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution.
  • Investigates allegations of wrongdoing and wrongful terminations.
  • Assures company policies are administered fairly and consistently.
  • Collaborates on the design and delivery of HR training materials, including presentations, videos, publications, and reference documents.
  • Compiles data and identifies trends regarding employee experience.
  • Encourages engagement through employee relations activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
