About The Position

TMRW Sports is seeking a Manager, Media Relations – Golf to support media relations and communications efforts for TGL presented by SoFi and WTGL. Working across league, team, player, and partner initiatives, this role will help drive earned media opportunities, manage media operations and credentialing, support announcements and events, and maintain key communications platforms and resources. The ideal candidate is equal parts communicator, organizer, and relationship-builder, bringing a proactive approach to storytelling, strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering a best-in-class experience for media, players, and stakeholders across both leagues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PR, Communications and/or Marketing
• Bachelor’s Degree in PR, Communications, Marketing or equivalent field
• Experience in event-focused PR or marketing operations
• Experience developing media materials, managing media inquiries, and supporting proactive media outreach
• Detail-orientated with strong copy-editing skills and knowledge of AP style
• Professionalism and positive attitude in working with journalists, influencers, broadcast partners, professional athletes and support staff
• Proven ability to multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong ability to foster and flourish within a team culture working with others
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint and other internet/web platforms
• Ability to travel as needed, attend all TGL/WTGL matches and to work long hours and weekend days as needed

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of and passion for golf, including familiarity with the professional golf landscape
• Experience working within a sports team, league, governing body, agency, media organization, or sports-related brand
• Experience supporting live events, media operations, credentialing, or on-site media relations
• Familiarity with Cision or similar media distribution, monitoring, and reporting platforms

Responsibilities

• Support media operations, credentialing and media hosting at TGL and WTGL matches at SoFi Center.
• Manage the Cision distribution system, maintain media contact lists and templates, and coordinate the distribution of press releases and announcements.
• Monitor media coverage and report on the reach, value and impact of key announcements for the leagues, teams, players and partners
• Thoroughly copy edit press releases and other written materials for accuracy, clarity and adherence to company and AP style
• Develop and pitch story ideas that support company objectives and secure media coverage
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the TGL and WTGL media hub.
• Manage communications workflows, announcement timelines, interview requests, media pitches, and creative requests, ensuring projects are executed accurately and on schedule
• Coordinate logistics for announcements and media events, including media days, player media tours and team events, working with the Live Events team on audiovisual equipment, signage, backdrops, gifting and seating
• Serve as a key liaison between media, league stakeholders, teams, and players, helping facilitate interview opportunities and media engagement
• Partner with the Live Events team to prepare the media center, interview room and media parking areas, and provide an organized, welcoming experience for visiting media
• Cultivate relationships with golf, sports, business, and lifestyle media and support the execution of proactive media relations strategies that elevate league, team, player, and partner storytelling
