About The Position
Manages University mechanical systems, ensuring that equipment is maintained and operating in a safe and efficient manner. Supervises and directs Plumbing, HVAC & Preventative Maintenance shops in the completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities. Ensures and documents productivity of staff and contractors in repair and maintenance of University systems. This position is designated as essential personnel and may be required to work during closings or emergency situations.
Requirements
- A thorough knowledge of commercial, industrial, and residential mechanical systems, plumber/steamfitter trade, and/or HVAC trade.
- Ability to read and analyze mechanical and piping drawings.
- Ability to supervise and manage staff and contract crews.
- A thorough knowledge of fire suppression systems and HVAC equipment.
- Computer and word processing skills are essential.
- Ability to develop estimates and perform "take-offs" from drawings.
- Familiarity with building codes.
- Experience with building automation systems.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must hold or have the ability to obtain a state license in Plumbing and/or HVAC within 12 months of employment.

- State licensure in Plumbing and/or HVAC preferred.
