About The Position

The Manager, Materials Planning will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the materials planning processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of materials required for Primoris Services Corporation projects. This role involves leading a team, developing strategic sourcing plans, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to meet operational demands.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in materials planning, inventory management, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven experience in a project-based industry, preferably construction, infrastructure, or heavy industrial sectors.
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred.
Certifications such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of materials planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive materials planning strategies, policies, and procedures to align with business objectives.
Forecast material requirements based on project schedules, historical data, and anticipated demands, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Manage inventory levels across multiple projects and warehouses, optimizing stock to minimize carrying costs while preventing stockouts.
Collaborate with procurement, project management, and operations teams to ensure seamless material flow and resolve supply chain issues.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure the best value for Primoris Services Corporation.
Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain reliability.
Implement and utilize advanced planning systems and tools to improve forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and reporting capabilities.
Prepare and present reports on materials planning performance, including key metrics, trends, and recommendations to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
