Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational abilities
• Proficiency in inventory management systems
• The use of ERP systems (preferably Epicor) to help drive performance.
• Experience in greenfield or brownfield start-ups.
• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that materials are available when needed while avoiding excess stock that could lead to waste. Approximate value of inventory under management will be $30M.
• Procure materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for production. Develop and implement procurement strategies to acquire materials at optimal costs while maintaining quality standards. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Plan inventory levels and manage stock levels to ensure materials are available when needed. Approximate value of annual purchase is $100M.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Oversee the logistics of incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring alignment with production schedules and operational needs. Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This position supports both onsite businesses by managing the shipping and receiving staff.
• Ensure all material management activities comply with industry standards and regulations, including environmental laws.
• Lead and develop the materials management team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and innovation.
