About The Position

The Marketing Data and Advanced Analytics (MDAA) team supports direct marketing by fostering a culture of data-driven decision making. As the hub of marketing strategy and innovation at CIBC, the team drives growth, engagement, and retention across our client base through advanced analytics. Reporting to the Director, Marketing Analytics & Strategy Activation within MDAA, the Manager, Analytics will be an individual contributor on the team. You bring end-to-end experience in data analytics and are accountable for leveraging diverse data sources to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful analyses and reports that drive actionable strategies and optimization in collaboration with Marketing stakeholders, Lines of Business, and Channel partners. You will be detailed oriented, highly analytical, diligent and passionate about using data and insights to tell a powerful story. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience building meaningful analyses and reports around clients, segments, products, channels and marketing strategy
  • Skilled at end-to-end analytics, including data sourcing and preparation
  • Strong Communication and Storytelling Skills
  • Ability to effectively convey insights and opportunities through storyboarding and visualizing analyses
  • Analytical Thinking, and Problem Solving
  • Attention to detail and collaboration to navigate complex problems and drive results

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large tables/datasets to uncover key trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL and/or Python, with experience using Databricks.
