About The Position

Responsible for the success of assigned functions within a complex distribution center environment. Develops strategies and objectives for maximizing productivity and leveraging expenses. The role leads operational excellence across warehouse areas, manages facility repairs and maintenance, and ensures equipment and facilities support continuous, safe operations. It manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff. Solutions require analysis and investigation, and planned results are achieved through decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

Requirements

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Generally requires 7 or more years of experience in a related field.
• May require certification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5 or more years of experience in facilities maintenance management.
• Previous change management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational excellence in all warehouse areas, including operation of warehouse management systems and related equipment.
• Ensure inventory is received efficiently and safely processed in the warehouse.
• Administer warehouse layout and product placement, and maintain and organize all warehouse areas.
• Manage facility repairs, maintenance, and equipment installation to ensure continuous operations.
• Source and review contractor bids, select contractors, and ensure contractors comply with standards.
• Review maintenance, production, and quality control reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
• Maintain an organizational safety culture by following safety policies and procedures, monitoring distribution center safety and physical security, and inspecting equipment and facilities for compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Coach, train, and develop associates through training programs; provide job-performance feedback; and ensure technical certifications are achieved and sustained.
