Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Psychology, or a related field
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- DSP Certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of DSPs.
- Manage staff scheduling and payroll administration.
- Conduct performance management and employee development for the team.
- Provide ongoing coaching, recognition, and foster team engagement.
- Build a positive, mission-driven workplace culture.
- Champion person-centered services that empower individuals to pursue interests, build relationships, and participate in their communities.
- Promote dignity, respect, choice, and self-determination for participants.
- Ensure participant rights, health, and safety standards are maintained.
- Support meaningful engagement in activities and learning opportunities.
- Collaborate with individuals, families, and support teams to implement effective support plans.
- Ensure services are delivered with consistency, quality, and accountability.
- Monitor participant goals and progress.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Evaluate team performance and service effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate staffing and team assignments.
- Assess program needs and adjust resources accordingly.
- Provide direct support and facilitate activities when needed.
- Assist with participant transportation.
- Communicate operational updates, concerns, and recommendations to leadership.
- Partner with participants, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Serve on organizational committees and initiatives.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
- Contribute ideas that strengthen programs and enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate closely with co-manager to cultivate team growth and program success.
