Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Psychology, or a related field
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • DSP Certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of DSPs.
  • Manage staff scheduling and payroll administration.
  • Conduct performance management and employee development for the team.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, recognition, and foster team engagement.
  • Build a positive, mission-driven workplace culture.
  • Champion person-centered services that empower individuals to pursue interests, build relationships, and participate in their communities.
  • Promote dignity, respect, choice, and self-determination for participants.
  • Ensure participant rights, health, and safety standards are maintained.
  • Support meaningful engagement in activities and learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with individuals, families, and support teams to implement effective support plans.
  • Ensure services are delivered with consistency, quality, and accountability.
  • Monitor participant goals and progress.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Evaluate team performance and service effectiveness.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate staffing and team assignments.
  • Assess program needs and adjust resources accordingly.
  • Provide direct support and facilitate activities when needed.
  • Assist with participant transportation.
  • Communicate operational updates, concerns, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with participants, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Serve on organizational committees and initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute ideas that strengthen programs and enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with co-manager to cultivate team growth and program success.
